Insurance Claims Denied Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Company

Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Company or "Farm Bureau" is the second-largest automobile insurance company in the State of Indiana. It is estimated that nearly 8% of all automobiles insured in Indiana are written by Indiana Farm Bureau, trailing only State Farm Insurance Company.

It has an interesting history. The Farm Bureau movement officially started in 1911 when John Barron, a farmer who graduated from New York worked as a "Farm Bureau" representative for farmers with the Binghamton, New York, Chamber of Commerce. He started an organization that today is known in as the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF). The goal was to help the farmer.

Indiana's largest general farm organization, was founded in 1919. Then known as the Indiana Federation of Farmers' Associations, the organization was formed by farmers who were determined to work together to solve the problems of low commodity prices and a diminished farm labor force. Today, Indiana Farm Bureau's purpose is “to be an effective advocate for farmers, and through its policies and programs, promote agriculture and improve the economic and social welfare of member families.”

When it comes to handling automobile insurance claims, Farm Bureau, in my own experience, is much better to deal with than other carriers. I don't know whether it's because it started as an organization of farmers, but it tends to hire adjusters who are more interested in resolving claims and issues than other automobile insurance carriers.

Our personal experience has been that we tend to file lawsuits at a much lower percentage with Farm Bureau than compared with other automobile insurance carriers in Indiana. Although, Farm Bureau is not immune from undervaluing pain and suffering or mental anguish claims in personal injury cases, it still resolves cases much better than the others.

I'd rather work with Farm Bureau insurance adjusters all day than a single hour with Allstate Insurance Company or Progressive Insurance Company.

Progressive Corporation

The Progressive Corporation is one of the largest providers of car insurance in the United States. The company also insures motorcycles, boats, RVs and commercial vehicles, and provides home insurance through select companies. The company was co-founded in 1937 by Jack Green and Joseph M. Lewis, and is headquartered in Mayfield Village, Ohio. Starting in 1956, the company found its niches insurance risky drivers.

It is estimated that Progressive Insurance company is the third-largest insurer of automobiles and vehicles in Indiana, trailing only State Farm Insurance Company and Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Company. Latest statistics show that Progressive Insurance insures nearly 7% of all automobiles that are insured in the State of Indiana.

Today, it is known as a major insurance company through its humorous television commercials, starring "Flo" as a spokeswoman for its insurance lines.

I don't know if it is Progressive's history of insuring risky drivers or a learned education from the examples of State Farm Insurance Company or Allstate Insurance Company, but its adjusters are very difficult to resolve claims with. Progressive Insurance tends to devalue the true worth of many personal injury claims and cases, which forces personal injury attorneys to file lawsuits and threaten a jury trial to get fair value.

Although we have relationships with many adjusters of Progressive Insurance company in Indiana, we still prefer to attempt to get fair value for automobile insurance claims of personal injury, including pain and suffering, by filing lawsuits. Many times we can eventually recover 20x (twenty times) or more money in settlements after the filing of a lawsuit compared to offers made by Progressive Insurance in pre-litigation claims offers.

State Farm

State Farm Insurance Company is the largest insurer of automobiles in the United States.

Here in Indiana, it is also one of the most difficult companies to settle your claim.

State Farm has adopted a set of procedures that attempts to wear down all opponents into settling their cases for pennies on the dollar. From the opening outset of claims, State Farm will routinely deny medical treatments as "unrelated" to the collision.

In litigation, State Farm will not tender evidence that is due and refuse to acknowledge the value of any case.

State Farm treats its own insureds when struck by uninsured drivers with as much scorn as if you are struck by a State Farm insured, it doesn't matter.

Shaw Law through Attorney Jeff Shaw has been battling State Farm for decades. It is important that you have an attorney who knows the ins-and-outs of handling a State Farm case from start to finish.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation

Cincinnati Financial Corporation, commonly referred to as "Cincinnati Insurance" offers property insurance and casualty insurance, through The Cincinnati Insurance Company. The company ranks it as the 20th largest insurance company by market share in the nation.

The Cincinnati Insurance Company was founded in 1950 by four agents, including brothers John Jack Schiff and Robert Cleveland Schiff.

I often come across "Cincinnati Insurance", in my own experience, for slip-and-falls on commercial properties. Sometimes, they adjust automobile accident cases, too.

With regard to slip-and-falls, Cincinnati Insurance takes an unrealistic, hard-line approach. They often refuse to acknowledge liability on part of its insured -- even when liability is clear. Subsequently, Cincinnati Insurance tends to undervalue the extent of a claimant's injuries and will blame pre-existing conditions or post-fall events to explain away causation and pain-and-suffering.

With regard to automobile claims, Cincinnati Insurance is not particularly difficult to work with, which makes it difficult to reconcile the behavior of its property insurance adjusters and valuations.

The best course of action when dealing with Cincinnati Insurance is "Better Call Shaw". We get you back on your feet.
