The organization aims to help them on the road to healthier, more fulfilled lives. 1in6 will also serve family members, friends, and partners of those who are dealing with these situations and will point them to the best support resources. Some of the resources the organization points people to include:

AEquitas: The Prosecutors’ Resource on Violence Against Women

The mission of AEquitas is to enhance the justice system in the way it handles sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. It does this through developing, evaluating, and refining prosecution practices to make the process safer for victims and to hold offenders to a higher level of accountability. The team at Aequitas supports prosecutors and related professionals by conducting legal research, providing 24/7 case consultation, hosting specialized or state-specific training events and webinars, and publishing helpful topics related to the prosecution of violence against women.

Breathe Network

The Breathe Network aims to connect survivors of sexual violence with healing arts practitioners across the U.S. who are informed on the topics of trauma and holistic healing. It is the only national organization that is dedicated to preventing sexual violence systemically, and it is committed to dismantling the social structures that facilitate sexual violence. The organization advocates for and analyzes public policy at the local, state, and national level. One fascinating fact about the SVPA is that it maintains the largest and most extensive database for sexual violence prevention data, which serves as the foundation for machine learning algorithms, big data analytics, and statistical evaluations.

The organization known as “Stop Sexual Assault in Schools” works to address the epidemic of traumatic sexual violence and harassment that has taken a toll on students throughout the U.S. Stop Sexual Assault in Schools gives students, K-12 schools, and organizations the research they need to prevent equal education from becoming compromised by sexual harassment, sexual assault, and gender-based discrimination.
